Wind Ensemble Retreats 

For the Saxophone Course(s) our wonderful tutors are Debbie Scherer and Sarah Jobson, who have been passing on their expertise at saxophone courses and workshops for many years and are both highly experienced players and teachers. Biographies for both Debbie and Sarah will be added in due course.

 

For the Wind Quintet Retreats, all but two of our tutors are members of The Orchestra of Opera North, or are free-lance professional players (who often free-lance with Opera North). One of our French Horn Tutors, Naomi Atherton, is the principal horn player of the Manchester Camerata and of the Northern Chamber Orchestra. Another of our French Horn Tutors is Sue Baxendale, who is the principal horn with Scottish Opera. All of our tutors therefore have a wealth of advice and expertise to share with you.​

 

On Wind Quintet Retreats, as well as tutored sessions in groups, we can also offer individual lessons with our tutors (at an additional cost of £30 for 45 minutes, or £40 for an hour). On the two-day retreat these are restricted to two/three lessons per tutor due to the time available and will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
